Enter a device passcode on iOS

During an iOS manual session, enter the device passcode when the system keypad is hidden from the session stream.

This includes passcode prompts for:

  • Apple Pay

  • Wallet Add Card

  • Hidden apps folder

Requirements

  • A supported private or local iOS device with a configured passcode.

  • An iOS agent from October 9, 2026 or later.

The device passcode can be managed through Kobiton passcode (PIN) mode or configured manually.

Public Cloud devices do not support this feature.

Find a device that supports passcode entry

When organization passcode (PIN) mode is enabled, use the Passcode filter to find supported devices.

  1. Select Devices.

  2. In the search bar, select Passcode, then select Supported.

Supported devices display a passcode icon next to the device name in card view and list view.

  3. Start a manual session on the device.

The Passcode filter is available only when organization passcode (PIN) mode is enabled.

Enter the passcode

  1. During a manual session, open a flow that requests the iOS device passcode.

The Apple Security Enablement dialog opens beside the device screen with the subtitle Device Passcode.

  2. Enter the numeric passcode.

  3. Select Submit or press Enter.

The Entered on device indicator shows how many digits the device has received.

Input as sensitive data is on by default to prevent the passcode from being recorded in the session log.

Limitations

  • Only numeric passcodes are supported in the dialog. For alphanumeric passcodes, use the device’s keyboard.

  • The dialog does not provide a delete key. To correct an entry, use Delete on the device screen and submit the passcode again.

  • On older iOS agents, the dialog may open without entering the passcode on the device.
