Search for a session

Learn how to search for a session so you can review the session steps and insights, create Test Cases, and more.

Open Sessions

In Kobiton, select Sessions.

Search for a session

To search for a session using one of your custom search queries, select the Saved Searches dropdown, then choose a search.

Using a date range

To search for a session within a specific date range, select From and To, then choose a date for each.

To search for a session using session metadata, select the search bar and enter your criteria. For more information, see Session metadata.

Using session status or type

To search for a session using session status or type, select the search bar, then choose from the list of statuses and types.

Sessions with Failed status

The following table contains a list of all session statuses/types:

Passed

Sessions that passed their test criteria.

Complete

Completed test sessions.

Running

Sessions currently in progress.

Error

Sessions that experienced an error during the session.

Failed

Sessions that failed their test criteria.

Timeout

Sessions that timed-out due to inactivity.

Terminated

Sessions terminated mid-session.

Scriptless

Sessions using Scriptless Automation.

Manual

Manual test sessions.

Appium

Sessions using the Appium framework.

Espresso

Sessions using the Espresso framework.

XCUITest

Sessions using the XCUITest framework.

Gaming

Sessions using the GameDriver framework.

Mixed

Sessions combining manual and automation testing during a single session.

CLI

Sessions using Kobiton Command Line Interface.

Using session tags

Use the session:tag custom search query to search sessions using specific tags, making it simple to locate related sessions within the sessions list.

The search suggestions displays your five most recent tags used within the selected time range, helping you find relevant sessions quickly.
